The archipelago Sabana-Camagüey, also known as Jardines del Rey, is located off the northern coast of the island of Cuba , along the territorial waters of the provinces: Matanzas , Villa Clara, Sancti Spíritus, Ciego de Ávila, and Camagüey. It covers a 290-mile-long strip going from the Hicacos Peninsula and the Nuevitas Bay with 991 islands and keys, being the larger in Cuba .
